The Big Picture

Seadragon - an incredible visual viewing/modelling/networking app - from Microsoft. Very classy of BMW to leave their ad until after the presentation.

I especially liked his comment about how he never thought he’d be working for Microsoft. As irritating as Microsoft can be, they have the resources to just go buy whatever they think is cool, like Seadragon, and stick it into their product line.

Of course, so does Google (not counting the stuff they develop in-house), and they seem to be more innovative. This begs the question: Why didn’t google think of this first?

    A very cool demo.
