Web video that (almost) works

The player from viddler allows real time embedding of tags and comments. Tags provide visible section titles and are searchable.

Navigation is a little clunky, and at the moment Flash only supports one level of tag/cuepoint. One-click navigation from one tag to the next but there is only one type of tag. Hopefully the next release of Flash will provide support for different levels of tag, so that we will be able punctuate and format our videos just as we do our text.

Being able to navigate to the beginning or end of each sentence, paragraph or section with a single keystroke will dramatically improve the “useability” of video as a medium for the delivery of information. Jakob Nielsen should be pleased.
